Horses on the rail either have to send or wait. He'll be fine. It's the mid pack horses that it sucks for. When they break everyone comes in to save ground. A horse can get stuck easily if they don't get out fast. He'll just lay off (though not as far) and come wide again. Only a 9 horse field.

His trainer would have preferred an outside post since Orb prefers to close or sit midpack. It's not ideal for his running style, but I think he'll be okay. I would expect Goldencents to go straight to the lead. Mylute and Departing will be sitting back too.
Titletown Five will also go to the lead...and then he'll fade, because he should be kept to sprint races.

I do think Will Take Charge had a legit excuse in the Derby though, ran right into Verrazano and had to be checked.
