As much as I hate those hicks from out west...
The Univ actually was called THE and then they changed it about 30 years ago and now they are changing it back. I don't know when OSU started being pompous, but FSU might have them beat on that one...

NVM, apparently Ohio State's been pompous asses since 1878, per wikipedia...
