Question, does the steering lock up in these cars like it does in a regular car when you run out of gas? Because I think he ran out of gas heading into that last turn.

Not sure if reported on here, but read it on SI.com on my phone.
IndyCar Officials are reviewing the end of the race since Hildebrand was able to cross the start/finish line under his own power. Because of this, then it could mean that he would remain the leader since the caution came out and he was passed afterwards...

You can't be the cause of the caution and save your position though. Otherwise he could have hit the wall on purpose after he took the white flag and the race would be over.

I know this is the case in Nascar, however if he hit the wall right after taking the white, he wouldn't have made it to the finish line. I also think there is NO WAY they reverse this.
ETA: According to the rules, this may very well be overturned. Bring on the 600!!!!
