So this will make it a difficult challenge to win it all, no?

He has been useful at times, but his good games are overwhelmed by horrible shooting nights. He kills the rhythm on offense and doesn't make open shots. Game 7 just happened to be one of his all-around good games that year.

No team from the pathetic East can be proclaimed the "best"...that's for sure.

The conference isn't as strong top to bottom, but the top 4 teams in the East - Boston, Miami, Orlando, and Chicago, are all legit IMO.

The Hawks and the Knicks are pretty good too.

Not sure what you're talking about. I was laughed at for thinking the Spurs..who are 40-7 and play in a much tougher conference..were the best. Of course a team from the East could win it...Hell..the Bulls with Jordan won it a number of times playing in a terrible conference. They got to breeze through the playoffs while teams from the west had to fight through 7 game slug fests

And im glad you think you're a genius...

Top 4 in the East vs. Top 4 in the West.

Boston > San Antonio
Lakers > Chicago
Miami > Dallas (close, maybe not)
Orlando > New Orleans.

IMO, 3 of the top 4 teams in the East are better than the top 4 from the west.

The East might not be as strong top to bottom, but it is certainly very strong at the top (1-6). And that's who will be in the play-offs.

No. You were laughed at because you said there was no doubt that the Spurs would win it all.

There's your quote, in case you forgot.

I would pay money to have both Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson launched on a one way trip in a space shuttle.

I would definitely agree if Miami got a 2-3 match-up with Orlando. I like that match-up for Miami. But if the Heat get Chicago in the conference semis, they could struggle.

The Bulls also had Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. That probably had something to do with why they won.

And the Bulls had 6-game series with the Pacers, Knicks, and Magic quite a few times. They even had a 7-gamer with Indiana in one of the last title years after Miller pushed off of Jordan in game 6.

Whoever comes out of the East is going to be a bit more beat up than whoever comes out of the West the way I see it.

San Antonio has the best record, but they're due for an injury bug to hit. They've been incredibly fortunate in this department (Popp said so before the last Hornets game).

I agree on the injury bug. But you never know.

The Celtics are the best team when healthy. Their depth, especially down low, is spectacular.

The Lake Show will come alive come playoff time.

It's like the 2002 season all over again. Win back-to-back, become complacent; Phil, Kobe and Derek have been here before.

They weren't too old last year. Or the year before...
