His twins are a year old. I don't think they'd contribute much to ad campaigns as a group unless it is a remake of Full House (ala the Olsen Twins). It's basically a perception thing - he comes across to the general public as the clean cut guy next door.
I just happen to think his all-American image is assisted by the perception that behind the scenes he is a family guy. This includes his relationship with Archie and Eli. Whether or not that is true is another story.
