Didn't realize Engineering was different. Figured it has the same basics:
1) Sell project
2) Deliver high quality performance on the project
3) Sell new project based on previous performance

That said, I can see where you would be limited in your big corporate options for progression. I would imagine you still have to work your balls off and that wouldn't change
