You Have To Be Conference Champ To Play In The Ship

I thought this had become an unwritten rule? Seems like Bama gets the rules bent for them, yet again and the analysts aren't afraid to politic for them either.

Yes thats the "unwritten rule".
However the goal was to put the best 2 teams in the country into the championship game when the BCS was first created.
As it stands right now. From what we've seen all season long............who are the 2 best teams in the country. Forget about conferences, polls/rankings, reputations and conference championships, who are the two best from what we've seen all year?
To me its been by far and away, LSU and Alabama on BOTH SIDES of the ball. They are the ONLY two teams Ive seen impose their wills on both sides of the ball consistently all year long home or away.
