Good point. Funny how one good bowl game erases the memories of seasons of poor performance from JJ.

Ok he didn't understand what I clearly wrote and I'm the dumbass?

What you clearly wrote? You added a 0 and 1 and didn't bold anything. Your post was also edited... You're making yourself look like a douchebag man

Come on guys.. We can't fully blame JJ and jL for having shite for a qb coach their whole college careers. Maybe krags can get some good play from them. If not, lets hope mett will step up and play. Lets just not totally dismiss them yet

Ok my bad. I didn't know that you would have this much trouble understanding. Internet fan sites can be complicated sometimes and if you can't keep up, that's ok.

If Mett does not start next year, it will be hard to consider him the 2nd coming and savior.

He already has college playing experience and gotten better coaching than both JJ and JL.

We were in Year 3 and still had a QB that looked consistently confused on the field.

I truly hope, with a more simple playbook, that jefferson can put together a nice season before he leaves. I really believe crowtons complicated and inconsistent playbook has made a big negative impact on our qbs. We should see alot of improvement this year from all of them IMO

Hopefully Krags can keep him from giving the other team 7 points to start every game

You are really on top of your game today. I had forgotten that JJ threw a pick six at the start of every game last year. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Nope. That would be JL in 2009.

And is not necessarily just the qbs.. our offense as a whole looked like they didn't know what was going on half the time

Ive never seen Mett play, however Buck Baleau said he was ahead of Murray before he was dismissed.

Wasn't that 2008? It's one thing to say that JJ and our offense will be significantly better in '11, but am I reading correctly that some of you think that either was worth a shite in 09 or 10?

My point exactly.

Here's the point for you slow learners. If any of you believe that Les Miles is going to have a wide open offense where the QB is throwing the ball all over the field, you obviously haven't been paying attention, or you are just dumb. Les Miles believes in ball control and an offense that features the run over the pass. I know that doesn't sit well with you Play Station geniuses, but it's a fact. If JJ is the best LSU has to operate that philosophy, get over it, because that's the way it's gonna be.

Constantly pointing out useless statistics or playing school yard "what if" games just cements your childishness. Now if that's your aim, ok.

I can live with JJ starting every game if he is better than our other option. For the most part the last two years this was the case. I don't know if that will be the case for 2011 and neither does any poster on this board, unless you actually watch the competition unfold in person. What is a little unsettling though is some of you on this board, in your efforts to make this point, somehow praise Jefferson and our passing game's play the last two seasons. No matter how you cut it or who's fault it was, both of them were absolutely terrible. Just believing that someone could come in off of the street and beat out the ridiculously incapable quarterbacks we've watched the past two seasons is not hard to imagine in any way. Is it?

Not if you ignore the speed and sophistication of SEC defenses. Even the ingrained JJ hater should admit that he was the better option at QB this past year. Miles likes ball control. Miles likes the pressure that the threat of a running QB puts on the defense.

I think Miles likes his best option. He used a running qb because his other options blew. Most of his offenses prior to jj were proset packages with a drop back passer supporting a solid running game. I think in Miles' mind he's hoping Mett winds up being head and shoulders better than JJ so his decision to send the offense in the Pro Set direction is a no brainer. Whether this will happen or not who knows.
