we only lost 1 starter at receiver, and will be bringing in a generational talent in gilbert at TE. don’t see the running game being any more of a focus than it was this year

Brennan has looked pretty good in his limited time. There’s no reason to think that we’ll shy from the pass next year.

It will be more skewed towards maturity. This team lost a lot of leaders and they have a huge target on their back. No coasting or taking days off, can’t be complacent.

Chase, Marshall, Gilbert, McMath, Palmer, Boutte.

There's not a secondary in the country that can defend that amount of speed and athleticism.

I can see a more balanced approach this coming year.

Yes we only lose one reciever, but Brennana is green and will need time to adjust.

He also isnt Burrow and no matter how much some rantards want to say it, he will be no where near Burrow.

So I think we see more run game this season, I dont believe it will be heavily skewed that direction though

Thomas, ingram, and hines are road graders. Deculus is decent and Dare has a lot of work to do.

Almost all those guys played last season due to injuries or suspensions.
Deculus was much criticized in 18 but played well in 19. There is no reason not to expect Rosenthal to make that leap next season.
If Hines can call the blocking assignments competently this line should be fine.

Don’t forget Ingram is also a beast! I’m not as worried about the line this year as I was at the beginning of the season last year. Throw in Cardell Stewart and the incoming freshman and we have some real talent coming in to the program that can be solid back ups this season!

We are not changing the offense. We are going to continue running the same offense. However, obviously, Brennan will not be another Joe Burrow. Thus, he won't have the same level of productivity as Joe Burrow had. Now that's not to say that Brennan will be bad cause I don't think he will be bad.

Nonetheless, because of this, I expect the offense to be somewhat more balanced towards a running attack more than it was during the 2019 season to not only make up for some of the inevitable loss in productivity of the most prolific college football player of all time but also because LSU's running back corps is elite and it would be very foolish not to take advantage of their collective talent.

So if I had to guess, I'd guess that LSU's offense in 2020 will be a lot like Clemson's offense was this year, in that it will be more balanced towards the run than it was in 2019. At the same time, it will also remain very pass-heavy as well.

I think the offensive line next season will be as good or better than in 2019.

This is the most realistic outlook for 2020 I’ve read so far.

Dare is far better than what you are saying here. Even John Robinson said Dare will be a very outstanding left tackle for LSU. Indeed, he played in three games this season before he was suspended, and he only allowed one sack. He wasn't quite as good as Charles, but for a redshirt freshman without a lot of game experience, he was still very good in my opinion.

Meanwhile, I'm sure that after a full offseason of work, Rosenthal will do very well next season at left tackle. It's a given that Ed Ingram will be one of the guards and we know already that he is a stud. Moreover, Chasen Hines should be an excellent center and he should be at least as good as Cushenberry. Then either Kardell or Bradford at the other guard position with Deculus back at right tackle.

I also read that Cameron Wire because of his quick feet will make a very good left or right tackle as well and that all he was lacking was the elite strength. Which he should have by next season. I'm guessing he'll replace Deculus at right tackle in 2021.
