Miles. I am not known as a liar, nor am I a relative of Miles. I wanted to hire Butch Davis in 2005, and should something happen to Miles, that's who I would have at the top of my list now.
As for the insane part - there is no objective proof of my insanity.

I am a Les Miles fan. Don't love him or anything like that, but I don't have a hatred in my heart for the man either. Yes, I do realize that our program has slid some since his inception as head coach. However, he can recruit well and I think with enough talent at the assistant positions the Tigers will be fine. Yes, Crowton has sucked the last few years, and I really believe that 2010 will be a bigger year for Crowton than Miles. He will either do well or we struggle but hire someone new and hopefully better. I can live with either.
I think Miles is doing pretty good, but only because he can legitimately claim a NC. I don't care about the fact that they were Sabans players or how lucky they got, it was Miles team and staff that won that ball game, period. I will admit however, that the team has declined slowly but ever so surely since the great Sabans departure. For the record, I do not want Saban back as head coach. He is a ticking NFL time bomb, but that is just my opinion so fug him.
I guess what I am really trying to say is I like Les Miles, but love is way too strong a word to throw around like that

You really think Les Miles is a better football coach than Nick Saban? Honestly?
The question was who would i rather have...not who i thought was a better coach.

Oh. I get it now. You don't care about winning games.
Good to know.
Hey everybody, Choctaw is a Bama plant. Figures.

Miles is +3 in wins over Saban, same tenure.
Just sayin'...

see above post
plus...Miles is not an arrogant douchebag. I had a couple of friends that worked in the AD during Sabans tenure. They would tell me stories.

based solely on coaching ability, and not taking into account the person, would you still rather have Miles?

Okay, so is John Fox a better coach than Nick Saban?

I'd rather argue with a brick wall.
It would be easier than arguing with you.

Because it's less painful than watching the Hat scream "clock it".

IMO Miles is a good coach and I like his style. I'm for stealing posessions every now and then, bringing in the 1st team D on the goalline against SEC foes even when the game is decided, loved the snicker on his face when he put the fake FG on Spurrier. He also had the Doucet package to combat the Tebow package for the Florida game a few years ago. The Ole Miss game last year was hard to swallow but he has shown me he will do what it takes to correct mistakes (Co Dc's, new offensive coaches this yr.) I believe his clock mgmt skills will be better this yr and the sky is the limit.
