Complacency is human nature,especially when you are dealing with young people.Bertman had this image as being Mr nice guy,but you talked to anyone who played for him and you get a different picture. he knew how to push all the right buttons. Dealing with success can be harder than getting there. IMHO Mainieri should have pulled a Bertman. I forget the year, but they were under achieving and skip brought em all in but Walker and Johnson. Made em sign transfer papers. Said if they didn't start playing like they belonged at LSU they wouldn't be here next year. Got their attention.I just think from the stafff on down no one has handled the post championship deal very well.
