What is this team's offensive philosophy?

We took 33 3 point shots. Only made 11.

Our best player only took 6 shots. He also missed 5 free throws.

Only took 10 free throws, meaning we weren't attacking the basket.

At what point does Jones ever tell these guys shooting 2/11 and 4/17 to quit shooting the damn ball and attack, or try to find Simmons posted up?

Only player to have a decent shooting night was Sampson, a true freshman.

Quarterman seems to be the heart of this team. If he and Simmons don't have good nights, we probably don't win.

Also, not offense related but we have to find a way to rebound. I know we don't have much size, but we have to learn to box our with our undersized guys and rebound. Allowing 16 offensive rebounds and getting out-rebounded by 12 will not win many games.

So frustrating. Also, our late game execution is TERRIBLE. 3 consecutive fouls leading to 6 points with under 2 minutes left. Multiple turnovers in clutch time. Going for steals in 1 possession games and giving up easy wide open baskets to blow the game open.

Very frustrating.

We don't have a philosophy and it's sad bro really fricking sad. Just like football we win with talent and not coaching. Johnny Jones X's and O's are terrible. To be honest I don't expect JJ to be here in 2018

I thought Quarterman played his arse off tonight, so I guess an either or on those two won't cut it.

Free throws an issue, not attacking the basket. Don't know the stat but I didn't see many second chances on our end. It's early, but looks like the coach intends to let them run and gun and hope for the best.
