Stay at The Glenn near the CNN Center. Great boutique hotel with the best bar around...on the roof with great scenery.

any place within walking distance of the Georgia Dome is good.

Stay at the Omni at the CNN Center. Jocks and Jill's is the sports bar in the lobby and the CNN center has a mall like food court in it. There are some other eatries in the lobby also. 4 block maybe from the Ga dome. The congress is between the 2 where the fanfest will be held

The team is staying at the downtown Atlanta Hilton.

Wouldn't recommend it. Overpriced and overrated IMO. Try The Glenn. I didn't take a friend's advice and regretted my decision. Only a block or so from the Omni, and many people migrate there in the evenings to go the bar which is NICE!!
By the way, don't walk the streets at night in that area without someone with you. Lots of interesting characters that will approach you.

The LSU team hotel will be at the Hilton, on Courtland Street.

The Jock's and Jill's at CNN Center is gone, replaced by Taco Mac. Still a good place to go, awesome wings, and 100+ beers on tap.
