Anyone who mentioned Shep anywhere in this discussion without listing Randle way ahead of him is silly.

A QB that plays 100% within the design of the offensive system that has been carefully crafted by his coaches to give LSU the optimum chances to win every single game and take another crystal in New Orleans is January

A QB with these statistics:

5 games played

140.5 QB efficiency

64-108 with 1 INT

At a 60% completion rate

160 yards/game passing for almost 800 total yards after 5 games ... he could possibly get near 2,000 (likely will not due to the JJ factor)

7 TDs against 1 interception

DOES EXACTLY WHAT HE'S TOLD TO DO ... MANAGE VICTORY

So glad someone finally brought up JL. The man is playing pretty well. I guaran-damn-tee you Steve Spurrier would both his nuts right now to have Jarrett Lee under center in Columbia.

I just don't see anything about our offense that is intimidating

we can run the ball; we can pass the ball; we can execute unexpected plays from various formations and catch defenses off guard and we rarely turn the ball over. lastly, this offense plays the full 60 minutes and the D will be sucking air by the 4th quarter. in short, our offense is balanced and has enough weapons that if the D tries to shut down one aspect of it they will get burned by another.

What grandad said. Wasn't trying to give you a hard time, but you were really reaching for the negatives

Nothing against Lee, glad he is the starting qb but I highly doubt Spurrier wants a J Lee under center.

Our big advantage is the balance of our offense, and the ability to sustain drives, and wear down defenses. That is something we have been lacking the last few years. QB with JL will be an advantage over both Florida and Alabama. JL is much more efficient that the qb of either of those teams. I'll take our power rb's over the little speedsters at florida any day of the week. That is what florida is missing right now, a power running back in the pro set offense. Those guys are built for a spread...which we know that doesn't work against the likes of LSU and Florida. So, our advantage against Florida is we can maintain drives and wear them down then own the 4th qtr. Against Bama, they have a slight advantage at RB...but I love our stable of rb's, and we will be right there with bama in total rushing yards, if not better than them. Regardless, neither team will run the ball well, and it will be on the shoulders of the qb to sustain drives...and I like our 5th year qb who has a significantly higher passing/efficiency rating than bama's qb.

Your receivers are your strong point as potential game changers. I just don't see that offense as a championship caliber. But hey, I am a Bama fan so I am probably delusional or something.

but you see bama's as championship caliber, even though they are virtually even with lsu in scoring points this year, and have an inexperienced qb with a worse passer/efficiency rating than LSU. Makes sense. Alabama and LSU are the best two teams in the country..period. They are so because of great defense, and offenses that average 38 and 39 points a game. Enough said.

I really think you should start including the defense in ppg, don't discredit the D, because the sole offense does not average 38 a game. Unless your comma was to join the offense and defense with your statement then my bad.

You are a real shite starter. Their is no debate, JL is the starter and jj will get snaps. Maybe you should see a therapist to help you deal with it.
