Week 1 games

Can someone explain why LSU continues to schedule tough opponents week 1? Ole Miss and Alabama, both very likely playoffs teams, are playing what are essentially community colleges week 1.
If other playoff contenders are not scheduling tough opponents week 1 it’s obvious it’s not necessary yet we have Clemson week 1 in 2025 & 2026. So tired of starting off from the get go with our backs against the wall

Cause overall it was still more fun and a better experience than playing western Kentucky
