I'm not sure any any particular LSU gathering spot (since its regular season baseball on a Thursday), but I've watched random sporting events at the Champps in Uptown Park and its a decent set up.
You could also do the Railyard on San Felipe, there are several TVs and I'm sure they'll put the game on if you ask for it.
