Be careful. If they start losing some of the more rednecky ones in the bunch will try to pick a fight. Also, alot of foul language for the youngster to hear, be prepared.

Thanks for the advice SpringBok and FMTiger. I'll sleep a little better now.

SpringBok, I don't have my tickets in hand right now so I don't know what row we're in but look for a 6 ft Latino dude with black hair and that would be me. My son is about 5 feet tall.

Thanks again and

You should try to get into your seat at least 20 minutes before gametime because the USC pre-game is worth watching. Our band sucks, especially compared to LSU's band, but the whole 2001 thing with Cocky and the fireworks is worth watching.

Missile,

I was in the same situation last year when I took my 10 year old son to his first away game at Bama.

We had a blast. My son and I smile a lot, so I guess the relaxed look helped us when mingling with the Bama fans. The whole experience was mostly good--especially the tiger win.

For what it's worth, just realize that you are a very fortunate man to be able to do something like that for your son. I know that mine will never forget the experience for as long as he lives. Just relax, and be grateful that you are able to do this for him.

As far as any obnoxious fans, we all know that all schools have some. Your son must learn that there are some unusal people in this world. He might as well be with you while he is learning this.

Enjoy!

I was in the Auburn section for the 1995 LSU/AU game ("The Magic Is Back!") - One of the best nights of my life; I was 15.

Just sit back, relax, be friendly to your neighbors, and you'll have a load of fun.

Manty, great points throughout. I'm really looking forward to him being able to connect to the Tigers later in life even though we move around alot.
