This is the bottom line. Mainieri has good coaches under him and talented players. You have to give him some credit for that.

Could we get a better coach? Probably? Is the AD going to fire the winningest active coach to bring in someone who might or might not be better? No he won't take that risk.

Mainieri is family oriented and will retire on his own terms, probably when current contract is up.

We don't know how this season will end. We have a right to criticize bad decisions along the way but we shouldn't let it dampen our hope of a great season.
