He's not even walking it back. He's continued to say what he exactly said. He said that if Harbaugh leaves, HE believes that Kelly will go to Michigan.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with his opinion. The problem is, some clown clipped it, it was noticed by bigger media who twisted it as a rumor. It went from somebody's opinion, to an actual rumor in the span of one exchange.

Speaking on Matt's thought itself, it's pretty dumb logic to me. Kelly's whole point in coming to LSU was easy access to top recruits to win a championship. What in the hell can he do at Michigan? Michigan is Notre Dame lite when it comes to recruiting. He's building a recruiting juggernaut of a staff that is damn near 100% all guys with Louisiana and LSU ties.

Bro thinks because Michigan built a team that took 3 playoff tries to win a title, with damn near the same group of guys, that that, along with Kelly's northern roots and former coach of Kelly in Minter, would get him there. I don't believe it. Michigan isn't going to give Kelly all the resources Woodward is giving. Michigan's talent pool and surrounding area is miniscule compared to what LSU can pull from their area (Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama).
