I sat throught the 80's which was mediocre. A couple of very good Arnsparger teams that made it to the Sugar Bowl only to get whacked by Nebraska, and then the deplorable 90's. The expectations of national championships are great to see, but unrealistic to think you deserve it. I can't stand what is either some with short term memories or bandwaggoners from recent successes. It's not hard to see what hurt us this year(or who). True fans don't jump on players and coaches at the FIRST SIGN of difficulty. They will be great again soon and all the haters will be back licking the players and coaches nut sacks.

How about the steady decline in defense and fundamental play since the Miles era began...

Miles era: First year (#5 finish), Second year (#3), Third year (#1 finish). Any fool can see the steady decline in defense and fundamental play--from 5 to 3 to 1.

Whoever said LSU has the dumbest fan base?

BINGO
Also, you have fans who don't trust Miles, and think that if we have a somewhat "down" season (although if we win out and win a bowl game, 10-3 ain't chopped liver), it must necessarily start an inexorable slide in the program. What was Florida's record last yr., and where are they now?

LSU through the many yrs. has built up a rep as an awesome venue w/ crazy, loud fans, etc.... sure it's a free country and folks can do what they want, but don't bitch and moan when LSU loses that rep, b/c of crappy fans leaving early. My son will be a freshman at LSU next yr and I know he'll stay at games til the bitter end, as most students do ... I don't perceive the problem being the students, but rather the older set. Am I wrong?

I don't know what to say about these people. Do they have no experience with sports? Do they have no heart? Do they have no experience on what winning takes?

These were the same people preaching doom and gloom after every loss last season.

Thank you and FWIW, a fellow con, Blueboy, has stunk this thread up pretty bad with some ignorance.
