saturday commute advice needed

generally we arrive earlier than most on Saturdays. Alas, my kids have soccer games mid afternoon this saturday, so I'll not be able to leave NOLA until about 430p. Got a room on at a hotel on Essen; so I plan to park there and Uber/Lyft to campus. What would the traffic situation be on I-10 around 530p? Am I going to have a problem getting to the hotel? Problem getting a cab?

Yes sir you will sit in some traffic...but most people will be on campus already..

that's what I'm hoping. Does it back up far behind Essen, or do I mostly need to be concerned with getting to campus?
