Overall solid pitching performance especially by Boutee. Kid went into a 100 pitch count after pitching 27 or so earlier in the day. They are young & will be a solid team next year.

What kind of team does ULL have coming back

They only have 2 seniors on roster. (Mayer and Frith two little used relief pitchers). Draft could take Kjerstad, Strentz and Harrison but otherwise they bring back everyone on the roster

Ya they normally are carried by their pitching and bats struggle. This year was a bizarro year for them to have bats carry them. If they can get some pitching going they should be fine in future. I pull for all in state teams. Hard to cheer against any squad that has 95% Louisiana kids on it

Negative about their team the entire game until/if they win, then get cocky. The LSU staple.

I'm proud of the Cajuns, improved wins by 20 this year, made it to a regional final when we didn't even make our conference tourney last season. I ain't mad about anything.

Strentz should be top 15 rounds or so. Most draft evaluations have him as a top 350 prospect. He has two years of eligibilty left so he has leverage

Strentz should go in the top 20 rounds. Very athletic guy with a lot of tools.

Sorry, if ULL would just except the fact that they are the University Of Louisiana @ Lafayette and not the university of La.

They will never be the flagship university of the state of Louisiana

Lot of tools in this thread. ULL is no threat to LSU, why put them down every chance you get? ULL has some pathetic jealous fans with little brother syndrome, but LSU has some of the most spoiled, classless fans I've ever seen, who want no part of any other team in the state having success. I go to ULL, but I wish success for both schools. The people that cause this bullshite war between both schools, like many in this thread, deserve a punch to the gooch.

Congrats to LSU, and I hope they win it all.

I don't think you know what that saying means. No one was cocky, everyone knew we had an uphill battle with injuries and a weak pitching staff. Next year will be our shot to try to make another run.

I remember why I hate this place now.

You call one person out for having no originality and then you're "mad".

Do us all a favor and slice your throat. Slowly ... so we can enjoy the suffering.
