i just cant stand that guy! nevermind his sexual attraction to saban. i swear he believes the roman empire would still be alive if saban had taken over for ceaser. i also cant stand his little smug smirk. id like to flog him with a dead cat.

Being able to gauge your players has a great deal to do with the decision to go for it.
Being down by 10 in the 4th quarter also has a great deal to do with it.

LSU vs. UNC is a true toss up
Huh? NC has like 17 first round draft picks on defense this year! On a serious note, we better come up with one hell of a offensive game plan to win this one.

Hahaha... truth. I was speaking in generalities rather than specifics though. It's not as if that's the only bold decision Les ever made that worked.

Everyone is on Bama's nuts right now. Why not, they return the Heisman Trophy winner, went 14-0 and have a great coach. But it doesn't take a genius to see that they have a good, not great, offense and major question marks on defense.
You can easily see Bama going 9-3 or 10-2 this year. That will get them a New Year's Day bowl, but not a repeat MNC.

However, LSU comes into 2010 with a QB who, while disappointing to date, has 14 career starts under his belt and the physical tools to be a very good QB. If Jefferson matures into a player this season, LSU will be nasty.
Bama's QB also has 14 career starts. Why do you think Bama's offense will only be "good, not great" and LSU's will be "nasty"?
