I’d like to say 3-7 but fear 2-8 at this point. That defense is too awful, and the offense, while reasonably good, doesn’t benefit from creativity needed in shootouts. Too negative? Where y’all at?

I think that is realistic.

Called 3-7 in another thread after the state game, but I totally missed the mark; I did not see us losing to Missouri.

1-9 and a hopeful firing of Ed Orgeron

I know - hard to get to three wins if you can’t steer through these early “tune-ups.”

There’s no way Ed is being fired. His buyout is far too much, especially after the financial impact of this season.

I feel like 5 - 5 would be the absolute best case scenario and highly unlikely.

4 - 6 if we are lucky

3 - 7 most likely

2 - 8 possible

1 - 9 unlikely but possible

Who are the wins left on the schedule?

I just can’t see one. We’ll be in all of the games, but won’t finish any of them.

This was my post after MSU:

quote:

I originally thought 7-3 (Bama, UF, Auburn).

Auburn didn’t look great so that is winnable. I’d also think A&M is more questionable after seeing us though.

Likely 6-4 now but 7-3 still possible.

After this week I’ll adjust, I know this sounds crazy, but I actually think next week we bounce back and get a big unexpected win in the swamp. It’s a very O move like picking up AU in 17 or UGA in 18. The offense has shown it can keep up in a shootout and I just think eventually we’ll get the ball last or the other team won’t be able to finish it, and this could be that week.

But seeing a Gus disciple destroy our D yesterday makes me think Auburn is going to be trouble, and obviously OM looks like a big ol shite storm waiting to happen.

I’ll go with:

Florida W
SC W
Auburn L
Alabama L
Arkansas W
A&M W
OM ???

So that puts us at 5-4 with the OM finale as the swing between a winning season and 5-5

I’ll wait on that because right now it would probably be an L but I feel like OM will flame out at some point and we can’t help but improve on D. Want to see more before I call that one but it will be a huge game.

To pick us to beat Florida and Texas A&M after what you’ve seen is crazy. I think it’s just wishful thinking.

We've played the worse teams on our schedule already. Even Arkansas should have beat Auburn yesterday. There are winnable games left, but anything more than 3 wins with the way this defense is playing would be considered upsets.

UF, Ole Miss, and Bama are going to hang 50+

Nah I mean both of those teams have issues as well.

I do think Florida would be an upset but I’m pretty confident MB will have success against that defense. It will be a close game no matter what the defense does imo, and I do still think we’ll start to see some improvement just due to law of averages if nothing else.

A&M would be a tossup right now but Mond is still Mond and Jimbo’s teams there have seemed to get worse as the season goes on. But that game is still several weeks away and it’s at home so for now I’m marking it a W

3-7 man. They will beat SC and Arkansas. But honestly that's the only 2 wins I see. This D is OU level bad right now

I was just about to say. I feel O lied when he said Steve called plays last year bc this offense looks nothing like last year. No pre snap motions, no bunch formations, no choice routes, not attacking the middle of the field and no creativity. This looks like the 2018 offense in all honestly. Maybe Brady was really calling plays or telling Steve what to call but either way something is missing on offense and Defensive is just down right atrocious
