First, the obligatory "the Aggies are getting ready" picture.



There was a girl at a neighboring high school who I would occasionally date. When she graduated, she moved to College Station and was working as a waitress there at one of the better restaurants. She was very cool, and was very good looking (picture a better looking young Dorothy Hamill). She was hot enough that she would regularly get ogled.

She hated Aggies. The guys, particularly the cadets, treated and tipped her like shite. She dreaded Sundays because A and M had no food service and they would flock to where she worked. She would treat them well, but still get f'd over.

What kind of young guy treats a hot and friendly waitress like shite?

I did know a Marine (he worked at the base stables when I was a kid) who played QB for the Aggies. Jay was his first name, and he was a good guy.
