If I don't tell my wife the game is postponed, she can think that I'm spending special time with her instead of watching LSU football this Saturday.

postponing rednecks from troy reving up their hemis on our campus is certainly a positive

What's the difference between Alabama and Louisiana rednecks? It's not like there's no necks from Louisiana reving up their Hemi's on LSU's campus every week. Necks are necks. Not much, if any, difference between the Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida or Arkansas sub-species of Necks.....

The cancellation isnt ideal, but it is what it is so lets just move on. Nothing we can do about it. Having a week off before Auburn may just be a blessing in disguise. We will surely see.

also we will get to cancel the North Texas game when Joesphine gets near and our SOS will go up

Don't you mean Ike? It is projected to be in the Gulf by sometime early next week if it follows its current path.

No, he meant Josephine which is behind Ike and more likely to screw up our North Texas game than Ike. This is getting to be insane.

dude, i was just cracking on the guy. didn't mean to open up an in-depth discussion on the different species or subspecies of "necks." but, since you brought it up, i beg to differ...there are certainly different grades and classifications of "necks." there are certain objective measurables that have to be taken into consideration when grading out "necks." Such things to consider are numbers of mullets, jean shorts, big dog t-shirts, fish hooks on hats, and people that have names or nicknames such as "Hemi", like our troy fan that posted. LSU typically grades out pretty well against schools from miss and bamer, depending upon whether you subscribe to a pro "neck" agenda or not. me personally, i welcome the inclusion and involvement of "necks" during game day.

If anything is gonna screw up the North Texas game it will probably be Ike. It will be in the Gulf early next week. If Jindal thinks it's a threat to Louisiana, then no football game next weekend either. Josephine is still way out there and early indications are that she will not follow Ike into the Gulf.

One more positive:

We'll all be able to watch the New Hampshire vs. Army game on ESPN Classic that was promoted about a billion times throughout the LSU-App. State broadcast (at least those of us with power and cable can).

Instead of sitting in a hot muggy Tiger Stadium, the fans will get to enjoy one more game in the nice Fall weather.

Anyway you look at it though, we need the work before Auburn especially for Hatch and Lee. I almost wish thet would have been able to play the game at Troy this weekend.
