re: Paul Maineri = Johnny Jones

i feel like i should respond since i was hard on him last year. after last season, he's a legit top 5 coach nationally if you look at his postseason results during his time at lsu. in this day and age, i'm not sure it's reasonable to expect more unless a school lucks up on a once in a lifetime/saban/bertman kind of situation.

having said that, this year is definitely a head scratcher. even if the response is that the team lost so much from last season, the replacements still fall on the coach's responsibility. even so, the tigers can still have an exceptional postseason.
