Carolina won't take a QB at #1 b/c there isn't a worthy QB to take at that point, not because they have Clausen. They would of without a doubt taken Luck had he come out. I think they will go Fairley with that pick, or trade down if there are any takers.

I think the whole draft plan for the panthers hinges on rivera's scheme. Is he more of a 3-4 guy like in SD or is he more of the 4-3 guy we saw in Chicago? I think the 4-3 was strictly livid smith giving him the template and telling him to run with it. I have my doubts about if fairly can control the A gap all by himself and eat blocks from the nose and not a shade technique. He is plenty quick enough,. This could work out well for PP7. However, one of the panthers biggest concerns is offense. Do they take an AJ green to improve the recieving corps? Do they trade down to take green and improve, if so, all bets are off
