OOC scheduling vs. Conference games

Look at SMU and Bama’s non-conference slates ( LINK).
SMU actually played a tougher non-conference schedule than Bama. The issue is the imbalanced scheduling in each of the conferences.
Unless that gets fixed across all of the P4 conferences, it doesn’t matter what criteria get used, it’ll be the same debate.
