My daughter-in-law was involved in a terrible accident yesterday in which one, possibly two people were killed. She was driving home from work when the vehicle in front of her swerved to avoid the vehicle in front of it and then swerved back in front of her forcing her to swerve into the path of an oncoming motorcycle which hit her headon. The cyclist and his passenger were thrown off, with the young man coming through my daughter-in-laws windshield. He died looking her in the eyes, his head just above the steering wheel.
Needless to say she is a basket case. The girl on the bike was revived at the scene but not expected to live. I haven't heard anything lately.
I ask for your prayers for my daughter-in-law and for the families of the victims. I ask you to specifically pray that charges will not be filed against her as she could do nothing else. There was no other place for her to go but left. Five State Troopers investigated the accident and could not decide as to fault but one of them told my son-in-law that if charges are filed,it will be against her.
Thank you all and God bless you as well.

Oh dear God in heaven. Those poor people - all of them, their families and friends included.

Dear Father of all, please dispatch angels of comfort, strength, healing and hope to all who need at this time.

That's terrible!

Just reason #879689797 why I will never ride a motorcycle on the streets. I like my chances in a car. And you never, repeat never, know when some freak accident like this is going to happen.

I will pray for her and your family and well as the families of all those involved.

That being said, I work as an accident reconstructionist and expert witness (private consultant) so deal with this kind of thing all too often. And my advice for you is to go get her a very good attorney immediately, someone who has a lot of experience in defending in traffic accident cases (She may need 2 attorneys, one for a criminal charge and one for a potential civil lawsuit; most good lawyers do one or the other, not both). And tell the lawyer(s) to get a top notch expert/reconstructionist. I know your family is in pain, but the sooner you act, the better chance they have of helping her. All the best and God's blessings.

Thank you all for your prayers. We have a very good attorney that, if charges are filed, we will use. The problem is that he is pretty expensive and neither they nor us have a whole lot of money. She was on the job so hopefully we can get some help there. But we will getby some kind of way and have faith in God that things will work out. With my mother in a nursing home in BR slowly withering away and this, I could sure stand to win the lottery!
