My observation

Jay gambled because he knew how much he had coming back from last year’s Championship roster. He probably thought if he could land a few guys in the portal we could make a run at back to back. He let some younger guys walk(Larson, Ryan, Costello) that could’ve been building blocks for the future and inserted transfers(Yorke, Simpson, Dardar etc.). I don’t blame him for selling out for this year but problem it’ll make it that much harder to get out of this hole. It’ll be paramount to keep guys like Serna, Paz, Braun and Patrick to build for the future.
