sounds kinda like he is chastising peterson for not being intense enough or working hard enough. i've never seen miles do that in a statement meant for the public. by the way, one of miles disciplines is playing time vs earning playing time. earning playing time means working hard but also learning how to block and learning your individual responsibilities on each play. it's possible that coach miles is changing and is probably considering the dark room treatment.

They seem to get it in 2007. RP looked like he was handling it well for a young guy before he got kicked off.

HE RECRUITED THEM!! HE"S SUPPOSED TO JUDGE ALL OF THAT BEFORE OFFERING! HE MOVED HIM TO TE!

It is himself that's too stupid to understand. He is overwhelmed at this job and is scrammbling by throwing others under the bus.

It is coaching, but NOBODY understands all the shifts and formations and on and on and on!!!

geeeeeeeeeeeees.

some of you guys shoulldnt let your biased opinions over a coach take over your thought patterns, b/c in the end all you do is end up posting very SUTIPID thoughts that make you look even more stupid than you truly are.

yeah, but our coaches are the ones who lost Shepard, similar to how i lost my wedding ring when i entered the strip club.

I don't know how to do it.Maybe we have to hire Guido,or file a formal suit or something, but somebody, somewhere needs to tell Les that he's the freaking HEAD COACH.

Compare his remarks about D. Peterson against Lyle Hitt and T-Bob. His comments seemed pointed but hey whatever, as long as he rights the shyt im with it.

Why doesn't he come out and say this to this level of specificity about other players?

Because he doesn't have too.

This is just about as perfect as it can be. A little praise, a little criticism, a little motivation. Just about perfect if you're going to say anything at all about a specific player.

I agree. I actually think this is smart of Miles. Peterson could be an enormous weapon next year. Apparently he needs to work a little harder to get there. Like any team, this one needs some of the 2nd and 3rd year players to really step up and take the reigns next year. Let's hope they do.

Good call. These kids are 18 years old and they are real people. I think we forget that sometimes.

Some kids are lazy. Some are dumb as a bag of hammers. Some gain weight. Some can't take their game to the next level.

Coaches have a greater responsibility to these kids than they do to tell us every thing we want to know.
