I just felt like being a dick because everyone always compares white players with white players and so on, usually assigning them the same stereotypical attributes.

That's why I love the stereotype challenging reverses we've had. Mauck and Flynn were the runners, while Davey and Russell had the long range bombs. Davey and Russell when healthy and in shape were not immobile by any means, both were athletic and elusive (and, hard to tackle when caught), but they were not legitimate running threats as were a healthy (pre-foot) Mauck and Flynn.

Same with Jordan Jefferson coming in - not a real option type runner, though not as big and bulky like Rohan or Jamarcus, is more of a pro-style QB. Lee, a pro-style QB as well, is probably a little more mobile than JJ, while Hatch (the white, LDS, missionary transfer from Harvard) is the legitimate running threat.

Call me ignorant, but wasn't Lee an ELITE 11 QB? One of the best recruits in the country...

What makes folks think we don't have a QB? Then, if he is that bad, we have Hatch...who's getting serious respect from Crowton. Then of course, if things were really bad, we suffer and put Jordan Jefferson out there. How many schools would love to be able to recruit QBs as good as Lee and Jefferson? and these 2 guys may not be starting for us.

I understand we have yet to decide on a definitive quarterback and they have little to no experience...but why do people automatically write us off at that position as if we are gonna play with 10 players???

Because people are stupid and have no idea what they are taling about, especially when it come to the qb position.

Y'alls qb last year rode the pine for 4 years and then won a NC. It is not like the backups sit around at practice watching the starting qb dreaming of a job. they work their arse off just like the rest of the team.

LSU will be fine at qb you can bet your arse on that.

Jay Barker was an after thought recruit by Bama. (I think the last offer they made) Turned out OK.

Don't forget TC McCartney... a walk-on, but could be a project at QB.

Don't be so literal. They're saying exactly what we would say about a team in similar circumstances.

How good do people think Hatch can be? Good as, better than, or worse than Flynn? Booty? Randall? Tyler? Loup? Howard? Daigle? Risher? Wickersham? Ensminger?

Again, so many of you are in fantasy land when you talk about Hatch and Lee and even more so, Jefferson!!! They have no.. zero.. nothing.. QB experience in the SEC. Its like because they wear purple and gold a special power is given to them to succeed. In fact, its quite the opposite. Every team is going to be teeing off on us Tigers (I have been a faithful LSU fan for almost forty years) and wanting to get a big piece of meat. The QBs will not be wearing red jerseys. They are going to get pounded (as all QBs do). If we have major QB breakdowns we will lose games that we never, ever thought possible. Again I hope I am wrong, but with last year's season, replacing Flynn with these guys we could have lost 4 more games. Easy.
