Les Miles is a blockhead

I know that sounds harsh. It IS harsh. But ....
Some facts:
1. LSU will not fire Miles at the end of this season. Frankly, they probably shouldn't.
2. At the same time, LSU SHOULD encourage Miles to retire. He looks/acts/coaches fatigued. And, the fanbase is fatigued.
3. There is no question that Alleva/Bd of Supv could royally frick up the hire of the new coach.
4. Why has the team played so poorly the past 2 games? Offense: Miles dicks w/ the offense (playcalling, scheme). And he's not a technician. I don't know that Cam is God's gift, but, I refuse to believe he's that predictable, and, well, blockheaded. Defense: lack of front seven depth. Pin this on that POS, Chavis.
5. Yes, Miles is a great recruiter, he has assembled a staff of great recruiters. At some point, somebody needs to COACH and put these players in schemes that maximize their talents. Ain't happening right now.
I realize that next yr's signing class is shaping up to be special. I realize that if Miles & Co. resign, we may lose Franks. But, if we hired, say a Jimbo Fisher, we might sign other players not even on our radar right now.
My fear w/ all of this is Alleva and the Bd of Supv. If Alleva were a savvy AD, he'd have a short list of replacements in his back pocket, and he'd have contacts w/ agents and should be able to get a quick pulse of who'd be interested. But no, he'll hire an idiotic "search firm," it will be handled poorly, and it may turn off candidates who will be turned off by the amateurishness.
Les is a great guy. Quality guy. He really is.
But he's a blockhead.
