I just don't understand why he doesn't rotate the qb's just like every other position on the team.

If it wasn't for JL we WOULD NOT BE 13-0. If JJ plays the WHOLE GAME in the BCSCG we in trouble. I don't understand WHAT JL did to get out of favor with LES.
You right........if it wasnt for Lee we wouldnt be 13-0. We would be 12-1 and POSSIBLY out of the national championship game.
If JJ plays the WHOLE GAME I like our chances a LOT better if JL plays a single snap against that Bama defense.
What did JL do to fall out of favor with Miles? Go back to the Bama game. It wasnt so much the fact he threw back to back ints. It was the fact that after Upshaw layed the WOOD to him BEFORE the Ints, he folded mentally. He wanted to avoid the hits. This caused him to either throw earlier than he wanted and/or throw off his backfoot.
Basically when push came to shove Lee didnt man up in the pocket. The game, the pressure, the moment got to him. You cant have a qb like that no matter how good a thrower he is.

@justme
WOW. Those stats are by far the most damming. Why? Because those are against GOOD to GREAT Bama teams. Its clear that Saban and Kirby Smart smell blood in the water when they see JL on the field.

Sort of like JJ in the first half of GA game. Listen its Miles decision, I just don't understand why he doesn't rotate the qb's just like every other position on the team. It seems like he punishing Lee for being successful the first eight games. Tell me why?
Miles feels his team will be more successful with JJ at QB. Its not a hard concept to understand.
That's not to say Miles is always 100% right, but after going 13-0 and getting LSU back to the championship game I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

That's how I reacted the first time I saw those stats, too.
Look, I understand you Lee fans want to see him get some playing time.
That's pretty reasonable.
Except you should realize that Lee is historically very bad against Bama and JJ is historically quite a bit better (if not good).
Also, CLM continues to play JJ even after he struggles in the beginning of the game...simply because JJ pretty much always gets into a groove after a while.
It generally takes JJ a while to really get into the game, but he tends to do so if he's not interrupted.

It almost did in the Bama game.

BS...
WHen is the last time qb or lack there of has cost us a game?
Its not that hard of a question.. its the last game we lost.
Thats the diff this year.. we've never been in a situation where weve needed qb play to pull a win out for us.
Hey, we are lucky I suppose.... We have one qb that IMO isnt that type qb(ark 2010) and another that has proven he can get it done (Tenn and fla 2010).
both of best worlds I suppose.. theres my postive spin on it.

And its because most people understand that these players aren't perfect when giving interviews.
I agree!
They will make mistakes in games, in interview, and in some of the things they do in their personal life. Most of us have done the same at that age.
Why some have to continually beat on these guys and beat on them for their imperfections/mistakes is beyond me.
I'm pretty happy being 13-0, west champs, SEC champs, and still having a chance to be BCS champs and wayyyyyyyyyy to happy to let the nit-picking by a few spoil this postseason, but each to our own.

its sad really.
its impossible for me to imagine these guys pulling for LSU while JJ is in the game. its sad that i can't picture that.

Thats a completely BIASED statement given that you want to take situations where Lee came into a game against Tenn and Fla vs games where he CLEARLY struggled as a starter. On the flip side you want to take JJ's bad game or games and totally ignore games where he's come through and played a major role in us winning.
I get its your "honest opinion". Thats fair. But dont make a grand case or statement based on cherry picked data. Thats like saying a 20 year old boxer is a great boxer because he is undefeated with a 41-0 record. The problem is 30 of those fights were against guys in their 60's while 6 of those were against 11 and 12 year olds.
And as far as needing a qb to pull out a win for us.......I still say that JJ coming into the Bama game saved us. Why? Because there are two types of qb's in football. Those who manages the game and those who WINS the games. JJ managed that game by not doing some of the most stupid things in the most crucial of times. That whole entire game hinged on which team was going to make the critical error in the worst spots.
Bama's qb did, twice. JJ didnt. Lee would have cost us the game at some point if he had stayed.

That is bullshite. Qb play didn't lose us last year's Arkansas game. Awful fricking defense did.

Easy answer. Tell them to scroll through the pages and search for ANY title with the phrase "JJ, QB play, JL or Miles treatment of JL". Plenty of material there.
Not to mentiont he scoreboard is FULL of anti JJ stuff.

Nothing biased or cherry picked at all about what I said.
Its a fact.
JL's passing ability enablable us to beat Fla and Tenn last year.
We needed a qb that could get us down the field last year when we were down vs ARk.. JJ was the qb in the game and he couldnt do it.
The last staemtent you made is sheer specualtion.
You know it... Im not trying to take away from JJ's contributuions vs alabama, but I dont think he being inserted for JL was the reason we won.. saying that takes away from the 2 other areas that were IMO a much bigger factor.
