Is there another school in FBS that hired a HC with an equivalent or worse record than Os? I'm asking because I honestly don't know.

Sorry, but 6-6, 7-5 is the limit until proven otherwise. A 1 point win over the 3rd worst SEC team doesn't mean the team is suddenly good.
And BTW, they Troy team we lost to less than 2 weeks ago got blown out by 1-4 South Alabama last night.
