Your taking the exceptions and making it the rule. Fact is only few can step right in and compete and make a difference. To take a whole college team and put them in that situation, they would be (as a team) outclassed and out matched. There may be a few that could compete, but not as a whole team, of which it would take to compete.
Not really. Think about all of the players that are going to be drafted for LSU.

And a lot of the players in the NFL were undrafted. Just look at the Colt's defense. About half of those players went undrafted.

My point is, the gap in skill isn't astronomical. Sure, the Colts should be better, but not to the level people think.

The game would be competitive for a while, and probably wouldn't be a blow-out.

I'll put it to you this way. I played on a high school state champion basketball team. I've played against guys in AAU who are now in the NBA. I've even played against some professional players who play overseas while they were professional players.

I've played against NBA players in pick-up games while they were in the NBA.

I could compete. Those guys are damn good, but not gods.

Now, Kobe or Lebron would destroy me. But the lower-level NBA players and players that I know in Germany and France are players that I could hold my own against, even though yes, they are better.

I do think though that lsu might have a better shot against Jacksonville. The jags would find a way to lose.

I think the defense would be competitive, but the offense wouldn't score.

Kind of this.

I think we lose 42-10.

And that is the closest I have ever predicted an NFL vs. college team score.

Indy is really bad on offense. If LSU played Green Bay it would be 85-0.
