Guilbeau's story today about how Orgeron really did like LSU reads like Guilbeau is defending himself to all the message board people who didn't like his reporting. That's thin-skinned reporting, and his time could have been better spent reporting on the coaches Miles just hired.
Almost every paragraph in his story read like he was trying to justify his work to people here and on other boards. He also mentioned other papers that reported on Orgeron. It's pretty weak when your coverage is thinly veiled defense of your work rather than just focusing on thorough coverage and letting it speak for itself.

Does he really have Texas #1?
The Texas that rallied with a 4th quarter to beat OU, that trailed TT all but less than a minute, held off Okie St late surge, and had to rally in under a minute vs Ohio St?
It actually doesn't surprise considering he had their last two teams with 110-something rated passing defenses in his Top 4 the past two years until their loss columns no longer justified them being there.
Texas is definitely Top 4, but I can't have them ahead of the BCSCG winner, nor Utah.
