This seems like it was the popular opinion on tRant, but it's not true. It's pretty clear this was just good business on Gordon's end. It's just how the deal was structured.
Why would he sign him to a long term deal for the 22' season if he could decide to leave in May? The initial deal with Gordon was set to expire at the transfer deadline & a new deal (probably for more $) would start if he is still at LSU after the deadline. This is really a non-story, just how these NIL deals are structured.
