Defense getting manhandled was most disappointing to me

They gave up the long TD with two missed tackles right after our TD and it was downhill after that.

I expected the offense to struggle more than the defense. Didn’t expect a total shite show.

It seemed as though they were blocking us with ease. There were some gaping holes for Charbonnet and Brittain to run through - not to mention the poor tackling. You gotta give them credit - those two guys ran hard. It also looked pretty easy for them to block our DEs especially to seal off the edge so the back could get outside.

Had more to do with Kelly being mostly vanilla with his play calls in the 1st Qtr. Once he threw in that misdirection pass that went 75 yds for the first TD that was all she wrote.

Was it us missing gap assignments or stellar OL play from UCLA?
