One thing is very obvious...STILL. Something is preventing Crowton from being a more creative and attacking play caller. Miles? JJ? OLine? I was much more impressed by UNC's OC, John Shoop, last night. He called a fearless game and made outstanding adjustments as the game progressed. Crowton came right out of the tunnel with what seemed like fear of his QB/OLine/Team messing up badly. No killer instinct. No confidence. The O just didn't attack it's opponent. "We need to wait a good 3 series into the game before we turn it on." That is basically what he told ABC prior to the game. Are you f'n kidding me. As an OC going up against that depleted UNC secondary, you should be licking your chops and attacking them right from the start. Put them back on their heels. Don't let them build any confidence. Especially with a seasoned, upperclassman under center that has been promoted as having improved from last year to this year.

I was pleased with Shoop's gameplan, for the most part. It appears that the extra work TJ Yates put in over the off-season might pay some dividends.

That said, give the majority of our fanbase time, and, they will be calling for his head, too. He is similar to Crowton, in that he does not keep attacking when he has an opponent down. And, is sometimes slow to make adjustments on the fly.
