Barksdale could play anywhere"

WTMF? During the Ole Miss game, he played most of it on his arse, was pankaked twice in the 2nd Half alone. That comment really bothers me if this is actually his honest assessment.

In all actuality, Barksdale would probably be just as good at the guard position. However, with Hurst and Blackwell competing for playing time, Bark should stay at RT.

With Shaw/Faulk at LT, and hopefully Blackwell and Hurst at LG and RG next year, next year's o-line will have some much needed size.

Barksdale was a highly recruited Defense Lineman in Michigan when he was coming out of high school. It is not surprising he has taken some time to get there.

Dzack started at guard this year, so he will start at guard next year. The only way I see this changing is if a coaching change brings a new philosophy to the O-line where we go back to big and physical.

JD is a tackle that was playing Guard. Wouldn't be surprised if he moved to RT, Barksdale to LT, Blackwell and Hurst at the LG & RG spots. We'll see if PJ can beat out T-Bob. If Les or Stud were smart, they would just open up every spot on the line and let the guys battle for spots.

That was their decision. They could have played Blackwell and Hurst this year, but they chose to play a tackle at guard. Unless they change their philosophy, that won't change.

[quote](That says a lot about T-bob to play at that level with those disadvantages.) Since our O-Line performance was so poor this year, I think it speaks more to the stupidity of the coach to play an injuried player over one who was ahead of T-Bob in spring and fall practice.Bobby Hebert said that the Saints had a great offense because they had a great center. He said a good offense starts with the center.Conversely, a bad offense would have to start with a bad center.Since the LSU offense was so bad, I think Miles should take Bobby's advice and change the center for the bowl game. Might just give the offense the spark it needs to be a good offense.

media guide shows him(t-bob) at 301, anyway wilkerson played at 265 and was one of the best centers we had.

yeah just pointing that out, I've already said I don't think weight is the issue with T-Bob as much as experience and (to some extent)health are.

i thought Lonergan was solid when he came in to play for hebert. Maybe T-bob just needs more experience but his azz was getting blown into the backfield all year.

people thinking that one year of experience will automatically make TBob and Dworajak be able to physically run block against even LA Tech are kidding themselves
