What? I've repeatedly said the play calling was clearly shut down after going up 21-6.i don't defend Miles in every circumstance because he isn't always right. I've even said if he doesn't win 10 games this year that we may need to start looking for a replacement because there is no excuse for having a down year this year because other teams lost far more talent than us for a change.
ETA: yes I defend Miles when poster day he is a shite head coach and just a recruiter and that we should always win 10 games a year when 99% of all cfb programs can't win 9 games every year.
From 2009-2013 4 programs win at least 9 games every year and lsu was one of them.

Brandon Harris did not play poorly against Mississippi State. A few of his bigger run and pass plays were negated due to unnecessary penalties, and he had no turnovers. He's going to get better from week to week.

Meh. Who are these sec programs with multiple good qbs during Miles' tenure?. A&M had 1 with JM. Florida hasn't had one since tebow. South Car hasn't had 1 and Spurrier was supposed to be a college qb guru.aauhurb hasn't had one since Cam.
LSUs had decent qb play in 2006,2007,2009 (yes I know it was Jordan Jefferson but his 2009 season was pretty decent/ top 5 in the sec in qb rating),2011,&2013.

LM has recruited not one good QB in his time here. BH may change that, but that remains to be seen. The second half of Saturday's game gave me flashbacks of the putrid offense of last year and years gone by. 71 yards of passing offense is a perfect recipe for 4-4, maybe 3-5 in SEC play this year. Other programs manage to get good QBs. Winning is what matters. Winning championships that is.
I have previously stated that it matters not how the team wins, just as long as it does so within the rules of fair play. CLM could run the single wing for all I care. However, it has been abundantly clear that going anywhere in the SEC, if that is a goal, will not happen on 9 of 13 for 71.
I, for one, do not believe that BH checked out of double digit pass plays into run defenses. If he did, then he is right up there with Mr. Jefferson in reading defenses and the Tigers have no chance this year. BTW, Jordan 'Superman' Jefferson was an awful college QB.

Except FACTS prove he wasnt awful. He was average. You can't be awful and have the 6th best completion % in lsu history and 8th best career qb rating in lsu history. He wasn't awful. His 2009 season is one of the 10 best passing seasons in lsu history and it came in a season with the worst rushing game in recent lsu history. As a team we rushed for less than 100 yards 5 times and as a team we rushed for over 160 yards only 4 times.He has the single season qb rushing record and has 2 seasons where his qb rating was higher than Matt Flynn's qb rating in 2007. You can't be awful and accomplish those stats.
