Saban is great at what he does, and if that means he has to cheat, have no integrity or loyalty to his players then he is going to do it.

Saban's genius when he returned from his NFL sabbatical was the realization that the NCAA does not punish favorite schools for recruiting violations. And the most important hire a HC makes at such a school is the head of Compliance and the staff.
There is no excuse for losing a player you don't want to lose for popping a drug test. Therein the importance of the compliance officer. There is no excuse losing a player you really want because you are outbid. Therein the importance of realizing the NCAA doesn't pursue, much less punish, favored schools for buying players.
