crowton was a good offensive coordinator when he had an experience OL and an experienced QB. for that reason, i think he'll be a good offensive coordinator next year.

Our offense has been superb until this year. Are you all suggesting that Gary Crowton just lost the ability?

The pass rush was a big issue last year also. I hope this turns around.

Is not going to solve the ck with me, too many men, not enough men, illegal formation problems on the field.

Correct. To a point. 'Ck with me' is a control issue/qb issue....i.e. do you trust his calls, instincts? I'd love to see average yards gained after ck with me vs. play from sidelines vs. hurry up. I'm sick of the frickin 'meerkat' offense. It seems to get more false starts also.
Too many/not enough men is control/assignment issue. I'm not sure if it's too complicated or hasn't been repped enough to be comfortable with a called play.....(Jeez, 9th game and still act like Jr Varsity on offense).
Illegal formation is a control/assignment issue also. I'm not saying its all control issue (like Sabanites would) but yeah, I see a nagging 'who's on first' comedy routine that kiils drives....kills time....kills chances to score....kills us.
--(Just an aside)--We are missing momentum on offense due to these things. When is the last time we quick counted on 3rd or 4th and short catching someone unprepared? I love this stuff, it makes the other team burn another time out or play the 11 they got....which shows confidence in your offensive players....i.e. qb.

OL - the ol played its best game (9th game of season). we lose 2 OL this year. if replacements don't improve in spring and summer we will have same problem next year.

keep crowton, get rid of OL coach.

I am willing to give Chavis a chance. This is his first year. Now if no pass rush next year, then that needs to be addressed. He has started blitzing more, so I do see some improvement.

Other than Alem, I just don't think we have the guys who can rush the passer. I think Downs can and Edwards, but they are both freshman.

3.) Good head coach

So we do not have to go through yet another season saying "all we need to become great again is..."

After watching Chavis D this year, I am wondering if the linemen have to hold the O linemen upright or try to get to the QB. The D gives the QB so much time he could eat lunch and then find his receiver open.
