No one really cares about the money. Chavis was a good coach for us, but he acted like a shitheel when he left. Simple as that. Alleva is probably just trying to complicate things for him and A&M, but I doubt anything will come of this. It's $400,000 fricking dollars for crying out loud.

this. and the LSU AD is merely making a statement. something like "frick you chavis; I think you're a dick"

Chavis' delay in accepting the A&M position was designed with this 12/31/14 buyout deadline in mind. He went to his ranch to "think about it" while he waited until the deadline passed. But it is an interesting discussion. Legal matters are determined by details...

I think the part y'all are all looking for is that Chavis had an automatic extension through 12/31/15. Somehow he and his legal adviser over looked this little tidbit.
I'm not losing sleep over this no matter where it goes.

I agree. I think it's just a war of words. But it makes the rivalry more interesting,

LSU will move on to their new DC targets. I didn't know much about Alleva until this week...

This will really heat up the rivalry with the Aggies. I'm excited. If y'all took Les we would really hate y'all.
