Fail. I mean all kinds of Fail. Maybe if you had said since Nick Saban got to LSU or since 2000 LSU has been the better program but not since Bryant left by any conceivable measure. The only reason the records are close is b/c of what you as a program have been able to do since 2000. You were 7-12-1 against Bama from 1980 to 1999 (I realize that's not when Bryant left, but that is 20 years). During that time Bama had more 10 win seasons, more SEC West Titles, more SEC Titles, and more National Titles. Now obviously LSU has been the better program since 2000. Prior to that, though, Bama was the overall better football program, and it's not close. Bama's record during that time was 176-64-2 while LSU's was 124-99-6. Bama won 1 National Title to LSU's 0. Bama won 3 SEC Titles to LSU's 2. Bama won 5 SECW Titles to LSU's 0. Bama had 7 10 win seasons to LSU's 2. Again, I only say this to rebut your claim that LSU has been better by any conceivable measure. The only measure where LSU has been the obviously better program is to look at them since 2000. Look I don't want to talk about recent 7 year history, and you don't want to talk about it(Concerning which is the better program. LSU is definitely top 10 program of all time) prior to that. Now let's please stop looking at the past and focus on what is happening this Saturday.
