It happens.

Good coaches and programs make the adjustments to compete at the highest levels.

This staff and program have given full understanding of the needs for improvement moving forward.

You take challenges like this season and use them as building blocks and motivation moving ahead.

Geaux Tigers!

We are getting set for another deep run or national championship next season. You can see it developing just like in 2022. Keep your eye on this next recruiting class.

The freshmen and sophomores who stepped up were position players. Where's the pitching going to come from?

2025 LSU football- 7-6 after what was thought to be a playoff caliber team preseason.

2025-26 LSU basketball- not many wins to a whole bunch of losses.

2026 LSU baseball- only team I can remember as bad as this team was Pauls 07 LSU team that went 30-26 I believe. Preseason hype on this team made this baseball season just that much more miserable.

All in all an absolute nightmare of academic sports year for LSU fans…But if you are a big LSU women’s sports fan then you are a having a nice little academic sports year

Evans returns to 2025 form and Schmidt builds on this season. Moore comes back. Williams and Rizy bounce back. Portal. Ton of options.

You only need 6-7 guys to get through Omaha. You just need the rest to fill in the gaps during the regular season. This team didn't get that, and when they did, the bats went cold. When the bats woke up, you were down 2 starters and had to rely on a bunch of guys who weren't ready. That won't happen again.

I agree with the OP 100%. This is baseball and it happens to the best of them (even JJ), but I'm backing JJ to fix it by next year and compete for another NC.

Those of you calling for his head, please leave the bandwagon altogether.

at the end of the day, a hungry motivated team will always outperform a more entitled team

the 23 lsu team was loaded and we will likely never see that kind of star power on one team again

the 25 lsu team used the motivation from the 24 season to drive them to that success

the 26 team had returnees in their draft season and might be more motivated for that reason over any team success
Jared Jones turned the draft down to come back and lead the 25 team
the dynamics of this team have lacked in leadership along with transfers you were depending on that haven't produced anywhere close to what they did last season
a less motivated team with key injuries at inopportune times doomed this team
