Just a trend of SEC margin of victory/defeat since '05. Several teams we've been up and down with, others steady, but a couple of the trends are sort of disturbing. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel we have a bad team or a program in serious decline. The two things that make me hopeful for the season are our ability to protect the ball and force the other team into turnovers. You can win a lot of football games this way. What I find most disturbing is third-and-short play calling. We have a couple of packages that have proved out in gaining 4-5 yards but refuse to use them on third down. I also don't like the "check with me" BS. And I don't mean just with LSU. I see many teams doing this, and the result is usually nothing but linemen getting confused and worn out from the extra time in their stance. As far as LSU vs. UGA, I think the teams are pretty comparable and no result would really suprise me.
