All I know is Nuss looked better than any other QB in the spring game and it wasn’t hard to see it.
that doesn't mean anything. Johnny Manziel famously lost the competition in the spring game in the year he fought for the starting job. He went on to win in fall practice and won the heisman that season.

Jeremy Johnson, also famously, was seen as a heisman contender and would lead Auburn to a championship in his spring game when he was the perceived starter. He was horrendous in the season opener and was so bad he was benched over a third of the year.

People forget that there is no blitzing, no disguised coverages, and we didn't even have the best guys out there playing. I'm not saying Nuss can't do well, but the'IT' stuff needs to die a horrible death. I believe any of the QBs in this race could lead LSU to 8+ regular season wins.

Rickie Collins isn't going to flip to LSU because he or anyone else, for that matter, who would commit to play for LSU in this current 2023 recruiting cycle would have to wait until 2027 just to have their first opportunity to play. Hence, he is going to stick with his Purdue commitment because he won't have to wait nearly as long to have an opportunity to play.

LSU had a "starting QB" on their roster before a dude named Burrow showed up on campus. It's called competition and any player, no matter the position, isn't worth their own salt if they're not willing to get in and compete.
